What is
it? |
|
The Health and Safety
Management System Implementation program is designed to help companies
define and implement the necessary policies ,procedures and work
practice documentation to ensure that your company is compliant .
Generally System Implementation follows on from an audit which
establishes the “As Is” situation, ABBEY PHYSIO will then carry out a
gap analysis to determine gaps in terms of process that need to be
filled to arrive at the “TO BE” situation. |
|
What will
it give you? |
|
The
aim of a Health and Safety Management System Implementation is to put in
place the policies and procedures necessary to assure Health and Safety
compliance as well as ensuring that the work environment is a safe
place for the employees to work. |
|
How do we
approach it? |
-
An initial
audit of the Health and Safety
systems
-
Drafting
of the Health and Safety Policy ( Safety Statement ) , reviewing it
and getting buy in from the Management Team
-
Project Planning –
putting a project plan in place, with owners and due dates , which
defines what procedures and policies need to be written, what training
must be done etc,
-
Managing the
implementation of the project plan to ensure that the H&S system is
fully documented and that all employees are fully trained. The
implementation plan also ensures that the actual work practices are in
line with the documented procedures
-
Establishing and
mentoring a safety committee
-
Putting in place an
audit schedule and a corrective action methodology to allow the health
of the program to be checked regularly and appropriate corrective
action to take place
-
Establishing a
regular Management review where new legislation is reviewed, audit
data is analysed and reviewed by the management team, recommendations
made in terms of policy level changes that need to take place to
assure continued compliance
