Course Content

What is OHSAS 18001?

Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001: 1999 was developed in response to urgent customer demand for a recognisable occupational health and safety management system standard against which their management systems can be assessed and certified.

Similar to Quality and Environmental Standards, required by ISO, it is anticipated that OSHAS 18001 will be adopted by ISO.

Good Safety Management System implementation is good defense, less accidents arise and evidence of on-going checking and revision mechanisms indicative of adherence, reduces liability.
